How to operate a briquetting machine correctly

Preparation before Operation

• Inspection: Before starting the machine, carefully check all components, including the rollers, pistons, belts, and screws, to ensure they are in good condition without any signs of wear or damage. Also, check the lubrication system and make sure there is enough lubricant in the relevant parts to reduce friction.
• Material Selection and Preparation: Choose suitable materials for briquetting, such as biomass, coal powder, or metal scraps. The materials should be of appropriate particle size and moisture content. For example, the moisture content of biomass materials is preferably around 10% - 15% to ensure good briquetting.
•  Crush and screen the materials if necessary to achieve a uniform particle size distribution.
• Setting Parameters: According to the type and characteristics of the materials, set the appropriate parameters on the briquetting machine, including the compression force, feeding speed, and briquette size. These parameters can usually be adjusted through control panels or manual adjustment mechanisms.

Operation Process

• Feeding: Start the feeding system and ensure a continuous and stable supply of materials into the briquetting machine. Avoid over - feeding or under - feeding, as this can affect the quality of the briquettes and the operation of the machine.
• Compression and Shaping: As the materials enter the compression chamber, the machine will apply pressure to compress and shape them into briquettes. Monitor the operation of the compression mechanism to ensure it is working properly. If any abnormal noises or vibrations occur, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

Maintenance after Operation

• Cleaning: After the operation is completed, turn off the power supply and clean the machine thoroughly. Remove any remaining materials in the feeding hopper, compression chamber, and other parts to prevent material accumulation and corrosion.
• Lubrication and Maintenance: Regularly lubricate the moving parts of the machine according to the manufacturer's instructions to prolong their service life. Also, check and replace any worn - out parts in a timely manner to maintain the performance of the machine.
